Don't Have Time to Exercise?

How many times have you heard this reason for not exercising? It’s true that in our increasingly busy lives we are generally all time-poor. However, not finding time to exercise is less about the time constraints but rather about the priority and knowing what to do when you exercise i.e. have a plan and schedule it in like you would any important appointment or meeting. When we realise the importance of consistent exercise to our health we will prioritise it.

Use these 5 strategies for getting and staying fit:

  1. Start With A Plan
Decide ahead of your exercise plan you are following e.g. reducing the impact of sedentary behaviour. Prior to your ‘meeting to exercise’ slot, identify which exercise sets you are going to do. For our clients we have a range of posture correction and mobility exercises to target our modern behaviour of sitting behind the desk all day.

  2. Get The Technique Right
Bad technique leads to injury leaving you worse off. Ensure you have the right methodology as well as technique (doing the exercise correctly) for the specific area or issue together you’re wanting to improve or rehab. Our videos instruct you on technique and for those doing in-person coaching sessions their personal fitness & therapy coach will guide you.

  3. Tell Someone
Accountability is a great tool for keeping on track. Even better exercise with someone, it’s harder to back-out if you know someone else is set to exercise with you

  4. Reward Yourself
    Give yourself a treat!

  5. Rinse & Repeat
By developing a consistent habit, you will build a healthy habit which becomes easier and will give you sustainable results.
Consistency + persistence = sustainable results
