REDUCE SELF-HARM & SUICIDE RATES THROUGH EARLY INTERVENTION & TIMELY SUPPORT

Almost 50% of 17 -19 years-old with diagnosable mental health disorder have self harmed or attempted suicide at some point, according to ONS. Potentially, this represents a significant level of risk for HE & FE providers given that nearly 53% of students experienced a deterioration in mental health, and as documented, exacerbated during lockdown. With a 1.6 million waitlist for mental health services early intervention becomes more crucial.

We provide the educational institute with real time data led insights that help identify risk segments for psycho-social (mental health) and musculoskeletal issues including the potential of self-harm and suicide. The students receive personalised wellbeing assessment data that enables them to make more informed decisions about their wellness.

In addition to our diagnostic assessments, we provide tailored workshops on both mental and physical health. Our psycho-social workshops range from issues such as bullying to neurodiversity. The methodology used has an audit in the European Journal of Medicine on its efficacy. It goes beyond mindfulness of emotional pattern recognition to understanding the individual values that are being threatened or violated causing emotional turbulence.
